Episode 3 (Part I): Can Canada Learn from the USA?

It might be hard to admit, but many Canadians have been taught a sense of moral superiority to our southern neighbours through scholastic and televised propaganda. But is such a hard stance against our biggest ally on the planet either useful or correct? In this episode, we dispel some of the anti-American myths that the Canadian government has put into our heads by contrasting them with direct historical evidence. We set-up part II of the episode, where we will move into a modern day comparison of governments in Canada and the USA with the help of author William D. Gairdner and his tome “The Trouble with Canada…Still!”. Gairdner’s frank examination of Canada’s descent into soft-socialism under Pierre Elliot Trudeau reinforces some uncomfortable truths. Original Air Date: March 29, 2020. Running Time: 21 minutes 34 seconds.
