Episode 8: Climate of Fear

Climate alarmism has taken the world hostage over the last several decades. Children return home from school in North America and Europe and are more worried about how the trees are doing than themselves. Climate alarmists like Greta Thunberg, Sarah Lunnon, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez take scientific data from the United Nations and completely misrepresent it, all in an effort to force the public into doing what they want. But do they want what is best for mankind? Using the reference Apocalypse Never: Why Climate Alarmism Hurts Us All, by Michael Shellenberger, we attempt to answer that question. We also attempt to dispel the myths climate alarmists willingly push onto the public. Shellenberger’s book makes it crystal clear the climate alarmists have no qualms about lying to the public if they believe the result will serve a greater good. And yet, their deification of the environment - when examined from a scientific standpoint - just doesn’t hold up as being a greater good. Certainly not for mankind, which ends up being marginalized in ways like potential parents being cajoled into having no children. All out of a falsely created sense of guilt. The alarmists stray from fact regularly, which is a clear sign of a false ideology. Shellenberger identifies these climate alarmists as modern-day Malthusians who, like Thomas Malthus (1766-1834) before them, believe the human population must be controlled or there will be an apocalypse of mass death and starvation. We hope to alleviate some of this anxiety caused by climate alarmism, which was visible even in the manifesto of the El Paso shooter, whose mental health crisis contributed to his murdering 23 people and injuring 23 others. Climate anxiety is real. Original air date: August 27, 2020. Running time: 46 minutes 4 seconds.
